Merry Christmas or happy holidays for those that don't celebrate today. Today is going to be a book review. The book as you can tell from the picture and title of this post is Joyland by Stephen King. This is the first of his book I've pick up and finished I've tried a few times before but never gotten to far into the story Even though I wanted to see the words behind some great horror movies and a writer that my grandmother enjoy to read, and kept telling every now and then the book she read would freak me out or I'd enjoy it. now the funny thing is my grandma as of when I writing this has not read Joyland. I see why she likes him so much he a amazing story teller. I was wrap up in this world he create and felt like my father or even a grandfather was telling me a story from when they were 21. when they were young and stupid before they had to grow completely. you get some evolved with the story your forget the mystery until the end and believe I couldn't figure out o=until I was told who the killer was. that saying something since the last few adult mystery I've read I figured out who the killer was. now I can wait to pick up another novel by Stephen King. even the ending of Joyland moves you. Devin at 21 is naïve, young and broken hearted, but he meet some great people while he works at Joyland and an amazing child who has to deal with more. I say you don't have to like mystery or horror or any of his other stuff to enjoy this piece of work by king. over at 5 out of 5 stars.
