Book Review Origins

Today's book review is over Origins by Jessica Khoury. This is the first book in her series Corpus. Now i will stay this series can be read in any order and i have already read the second book in the series which is Vitro. Now on to the review this one is only one person point of view which is different then Vitro, But like Vitro there is a lot going on that is hidden from the main characters. Now i don't want to say to much about what goes on within this book cause i don't want to spoil anything but i will tell you that Pia the main character is a girl that can not die or can she? the back of the book gives away that Pia is immortal. Pia Does fall in love with someone and that just turns her world up side down for sure. she become so unsure about things going in her world that not long before she was so sure of that she belong with all the other people in her home. that all i'm going to say because i don't want to say to much so over all I give up this book a 3 star rating. The Reason this is a 3 star and not a 4 star or even a five star is mainly the beginning of the book it was very slow paced for me and it almost made me put the book down. Also for me the Author over use the word perfect, and know she was just letting the reader get the fact that the main character is "perfect" but after the third time it just became over kill to me. Now the fact the author went on and on about Pia's room having glass walls and ceiling it makes sense towards the end of the book but just starting out it got annoying and i was like okay i got it more on with the story line. With that said i did like the book and i will pick up the third book i even have already bought it i just didn't love it. well that all for this review see you tomorrow with my weekly wrap up and weekend read post.
