Book Talk: Book Review

It's review time once again and this time it Red by Alison Cherry. This book is about a girl Felicity St. John whose life seems to be perfect she has it all popularity, hot boyfriend, good friends, but she has a secret that could change everything in this small town she a ... well read the rest of this review and see if you want to read the book to find out. let just say she dyes her hair and in this town where being a redhead it top of the food chain that a big no-no so welcome to scarletville a town built for redheads. Now reading what this book was about being a redhead my self natural I was intrigued. Now this book at time paint redheads and selfish bitches and shallow as hell, and so not true about us. This is so clear when they say that someone who strawberry blonde which is a lighter red isn't a true redhead umm hello they are red just like every other hair color out there-there is different shades of the color. Now yes redhead is rare in the world, but that doesn't make us better than anyone else just more unique. the overall message is to just love yourself and it not worth all the drama to try to be something your not. Now I did take away a few points for the way it painted redheads and more for the way the mother handle things I hate it when a parent tells a child that they gave up or sacrifice their life for that child the child didn't ask to be here the parent made the choice to have unprotected sex so stop saying it up to the child to keep the family safe. With that rant done I gave this book 3 stars it was just average to me the idea special but the storytelling is not special and I got mad a few times and had to stop reading it a few times. With that said let me know in the comment below and what your thoughts are of this book
