book review : Shadow and Bone

Hello fellow readers this month's main review is over Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. This is the first book in the shadow and bone series the first series set in Bardugo's Grisha world. Now  I went into this not knowing what to think about this book I've heard mixed things about this trilogy so I wasn't sure if I would like this but this trilogy comes before her other books in this series so.. I'm someone that has to see the full picture so to get to the good I'll go through the bad to get to the good but I'm surprisingly impressed with this book. Even though it took me almost all month to read it still really enjoy the book a lot and the last 2 third of the book had me hooked the first 80-100 pages was a little slow for me personally but we are building a world here so it normal for me to take the first however many pages slowly. That just me. i felt drawn to the world and the characters also hooked me, Alina was a good balanced of naive and strong, and love how she grew to trust herself and learn to control her powers. Now the villain is sneaky i didn't understand to the last 50 or so pages why everyone said he was a bad guy he plays Alina and he played me I normally can tell when someone isn't up to any good and I had warning and still didn't see that scene coming. I'm looking forward to more in this series as well as in this world and overall I gave this book 4 stars out of 5. Happy reading everyone and hope you all are reading amazing books
