Hello, Readers, Today's review is over The Scarring of the Roahanra by Kara S. B. Brown. This book gets very dark at times so it might not be for everyone so Trigger Warning for Abuse: Sexual, Mental, Child, and Physical, Mental Illness, Torture, Violence. With that said even though with the dark themes I was drawn into this story, Kala isn't the perfect chosen one she is mentally broken and you feel for her. Before I go further into this review I did receive a copy of this book for free from the author for an honest review. Now back to the review Brown's writing is Beautifully dark she doesn't shy away from everything the characters go through in this book even though some scenes feel like dreams at times putting the readers inside Kala, and Daniel, as well as James's mindset in this story. I can go on and on with singing this book praises and I still wouldn't have said everything I love about this book even though we is in a magical world the charters feel real so many times I just want to give Kala a big old hug because of the things she goes through in this story. Now I haven't been through what Kala been through but the jumble brain and the feeling like everything is her fault I've been there in my life and ah there no words for how much I loved that she wasn't this emotionless person that none of this terrible shit that happens to her doesn't affect her until the very end of the whole storyline this a book one there is at least going to be one other book, and I am here for more from this author. Overall I gave this book 4 stars simply because it is very dark and for my own mental health I had to stop reading and just not think about this book for a bit then I could read more, but I still enjoy this book and love seeing a characters that aren't perfect
