book Review: The Day She Came Back ( spoilers)

Hello, Fellow Readers, Today's review is over the book The Day She Came Back by Amanda Prowse. Now I got this book through Netgalley For an honest review. So with that said on to the review The day she came back is about a girl who loses her grandma and gains her mother. Now that the basic summary of this book sound very good and something I can relate to, but I had problems with this book and it all came down to the main character and her behavior. Problem 1. She questions the woman about why she came around but not the guy who ignored her all through high school despite the warning of the people who cared about her. 2. She takes her anger at her mother and grandma out on everyone else who tries to help her. 3. she contently sounds like a spoiled brat. All these things make it hard to read this book at times for myself. So let break down why this bothers me problem one her being picky about who she trusted. Now when her mom shows up she very questioning if she really her mother, but when the guy she had a crush on shows up out of the blue really for no reason no question on why he there why if someone who wouldn't give me the time of day when I had nothing shows up saying they like me once I have money that not cool in my books and he leads her to later on to try pot and throw a party where she knows no one there umm nope not a cool guy at all. problem two she constantly taking her anger out on the people who always been there for her like her best friend, her grandma's boyfriend, and the handiwork who worked for her grandma. Why these people who always been there for you in this tough time why not the woman who your mother why not pick up the damn phone and ask her why things turned out like they did. And problem three she keeps bringing up that her grandma lied to her and how sad she is without her grandma and she even throws a tempertautm when people try to help her understand and try to help her grieve and back to the random guy she likes when she lets him in the house and just let the dishes and house get dirty and now get her ass in gear. Now, why do I hate this in a character well if anyone been around for a bit knows almost five years ago I lost my grandma who raised me now I couldn't just sit around a wallowed in my sorrow I had to arrange everything myself and go through her stuff and after a week I had to go back to work. Two if I had all the support she did I would be telling everyone they are wrong and I wouldn't let a guy in my life who just wanted me for sex and a place to stay and throw a party. two you know also a year after my grandma died my mom came back into my life now I wasn't told she was dead but still it took a lot for me to trust her and let her back in for the things I heard growing up from my father and grandma. Overall I just can't overlook how much this book focused on the main character being a spoiled brat, but there were a few things I did like the beginning with conversation with the grandma remind me a bit of how I and my grandma would talk to each other and you can tell how close the MC was to her grandma, as well at the last third of the book where she goes and learn about what happened to her mother and why her mother chooses to be in her life. With all that said I gave this book 3 stars out of 5 I didn't hate it nor did I love it. Anyhow happy reading and let me know in the comments what your loving or hating right now.
